Chongqing - The 10th Western China (Chongqing) Dazu International Hardware Expo officially opened in Dazu on March 16. As one of the country's leading events in the hardware industry, this year's expo attracted enthusiastic participation from buyers and exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions around the world. With a total value of contracts exceeding 10 billion yuan  (about 1.4 billion US dollars) signed during the event, the expo has demonstrated the growing international influence of the Dazu hardware industry.

Themed "Connecting the World·Trading the Globe," the expo featured a range of key activities, including the opening ceremony, a centralized signing ceremony for investment promotion projects, an exhibition, matchmaking events for market procurement and trade, hardware production and sales networking, and an exchange program for the high-quality development of e-commerce between Chengdu and Chongqing.

Budisa Stephen Franci, an overseas buyer, expressed his appreciation for the high quality of the products showcased at the expo, particularly noting the competitive pricing. He stated that the products here are of excellent quality and, most importantly, are very cost-effective, and he hopes to find reliable suppliers or distributors through this expo.

During the event, foreign exhibitors from countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, and Egypt signed cooperative agreements with domestic buyers, with the total value of these agreements already surpassing 1 billion yuan (about 140 million US dollars). These deals cover various sectors, including tools, building hardware, and daily-use hardware. These collaborations bring advanced technologies and management expertise to the Dazu hardware industry and provide new opportunities for Chinese hardware products to expand into global markets.

With a history of craftsmanship that spans over a thousand years, Dazu's hardware industry now boasts more than 110 enterprises above a designated size. The product range spans 12 major categories and over 200 varieties, with nearly 200,000 employees working in the sector. These products are sold to over 20 countries and regions, including the European Union, Russia, and Southeast Asia. Dazu has become Western China's largest, most comprehensive, and most influential hardware production and processing base.

Since its inception in 2002, the China (Chongqing) Dazu International Hardware Expo has successfully held nine editions and has grown into a significant platform for hardware exchanges, displays, and promotions in Western China. Over the years, it has made outstanding contributions to positioning Dazu as the "Hardware Capital of Western China."
