WCICO's "Let's Meet" Online TV Officially Launches in Sri Lanka: Opening a New Chapter in International Communication

Chongqing- Today, the "Let's Meet" online TV, developed by the Western China International Communication Organization, was officially launched in Sri Lanka, marking a significant step forward for Western Chinese media in international communication. Through a deep collaboration with Sri Lanka Mirror, "Let's Meet" will establish a dedicated channel to bring vibrant programs and content from Chongqing to local audiences.

Let's Meet Online TV is a 24-hour live-streaming platform designed to serve as a new window for Chongqing's outreach, an international exchange platform, and a cultural showcase. The partnership with Sri Lanka Mirror is the first time "Let's Meet" has launched a permanent channel on a foreign media site, representing a major milestone in its international strategy.

Leveraging Sri Lanka Mirror's official media influence, "Let's Meet" Online TV aims to expand its reach and impact in Southeast Asia, becoming a vital platform for Chongqing's international communication and a video-sharing hub connecting countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative.

The "Let's Meet" channel will officially operate on the Sri Lanka Mirror website (https://letsmeet.srilankamirror.com). It will feature programs related to Chongqing, news updates, films, documentaries, and periodic live broadcasts. This rich content will provide Sri Lankan viewers with a comprehensive window into Chongqing, fostering cultural exchange and cooperation between the two regions.

Kelum Shivantha, editor-in-chief of Sri Lanka Mirror, expressed excitement about the collaboration. He visited Chongqing in 2019 and participated in a training program for senior media professionals at Chongqing Normal University. The city's night views, cuisine, and unique urban landscape left a lasting impression on him. He specifically recalled the charm of Ciqikou Ancient Town, the Liziba station, and the famous Chongqing hotpot. Shivantha stated, "I hope that 'Let's Meet' will help more Sri Lankans to meet Chongqing and understand what an amazing city Chongqing is. I also hope that much collaboration and cooperation in many sectors can arise from that understanding. It is an honor and a pleasure to join such a promising project."

Shanika Jayasekara, an English editor at Sri Lanka Mirror, also expressed confidence in the collaboration.
