Chongqing - From July 3rd to 7th, the 2025 SCO Film Festival – the first international cultural event under the SCO framework themed around "Technology & Film · Charm of the SCO" – will be held in Yongchuan District, Chongqing. When invited by reporters, director Yonfan enthusiastically responded, "I've always wanted to visit Chongqing. I've heard it has changed dramatically, and I really want to experience those changes."

As both a witness to and participant in the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, and notably the first and the only Chinese-language filmmaker to win the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival, director Yonfan revisited his classic works with us. He also shared his perspectives on the current film industry, AI technology, and young filmmakers. When asked what makes a good film, he believes: time will ultimately do them justice.
