Chongqing - The "Passing the Torch" China-Vietnam Youth Talk commenced on the morning of November 14, 2025. The event was hosted by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, organized by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, with support from the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality and formed a key segment of the Vietnamese youth delegation's "Red Study Tour" in China, with attendees of Xu Xiao, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, Bui Nguyen Long, Consul General of the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Chongqing, Chen Xinwu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality, and approximately 300 students from universities in China and Viet Nam.

Centered on inheriting the revolutionary legacy, deepening youth exchanges, and building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, the talk featured six youth delegates who shared personal insights on the "Passing the Torch" theme. Their speeches highlighted the sense of responsibility and initiative characterizing the new generation.

Chen Yingying from Sichuan International Studies University shared her experiences in bilateral exchange programs, urging peers to "take the baton of China-Viet Nam friendship in the name of youth." Feng Lian from Chongqing University illustrated how cultural exchanges positively influence youth development, drawing upon her university's wartime history. Wang Xinyu from Southwest University of Political Science and Law cited university collaborations and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor as examples where young people can serve as bridges for Belt and Road cooperation.

Nguyen The Hoang from Hanoi University of Science and Technology examined the historical responsibility of youth in upholding revolutionary ideals. Huynh Hai Vy from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, outlined the leading role of Vietnamese youth in national digital transformation and green development. Do Van Ly from Foreign Trade University stressed in Chinese that "cultural understanding and a cooperative spirit are the true links between our nations," based on his language learning and practical experience.

"This study tour to China has been incredibly rewarding. The speeches helped me appreciate the profound friendship between our countries. I hope for more collaborative opportunities to boost cultural and economic development. As a student, I am committed to studying hard to contribute to my country's future," remarked Do Le Tuan, a Vietnamese student, after the talk.

Dr. Ho Thanh Tri, Director of the International Institute at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, commented, "International exchanges are a priority at our institution. While we already have several partnerships with China, I hope to see even more interaction and collaboration between our universities moving forward."
The event culminated with participants raising their voices in unison to chant, "China-Viet Nam youth, achieve great feats!" During their Chongqing itinerary, the Vietnamese delegation is scheduled to visit historic sites, including the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum and the Residence of Mr. Zhou. They will also conduct exchanges at Chongqing University, Southwest University, Sichuan International Studies University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and Chongqing Normal University, and tour modern facilities like the Chongqing Guoyuan Port and the Seres Smart Factory, gaining a comprehensive understanding of China's development and cultural landscape.
