By NATALIA VAKHRUSHEVAQIHAI DENGXINGCHEN YUE|Nov 25,2025

Chongqing - The HOCH Hamburger Festival kicked off its national tour in Chongqing on Nov. 1, attracting large crowds eager to sample creative burgers from across China. By Nov. 2, the festival had sold more than 90,000 burgers, with opening-day sales setting a record for the tour.

The festival features dozens of burger brands from cities nationwide, offering everything from classic beef burgers to inventive regional-flavored creations. Many vendors introduced Chongqing-exclusive burgers, blending the city’s signature spicy, numbing flavors with Western-style recipes.

Running daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Nov. 12, the event has brought together residents and visitors for a lively culinary experience. Even though the festival is temporary, it helps engage diverse audiences, foster inclusivity, and bring a more international atmosphere to Chongqing, combining global flavors with local culture in one accessible venue.

iChongqing reporters Natalia and Julias explored the festival, sampling standout creations and capturing the unique combination of local flavor and international burger trends. The event provided not just food but a vibrant social space, reflecting the growing trend of culinary experiences that connect communities and cultures across the city.
