Chongqing - French musical theatre star and singer-songwriter David Bàn will ring in the New Year in China with his concert tour "Big Party". The first New Year's Eve performance will take place on December 31, 2025, at Chongyan Live (Jinyuan Branch) in Chongqing, followed by a Shanghai concert on January 2, 2026, at Phase Live House, Shanghai. Designed around the year's most festive moment, the concerts aim to blur the line between stage and audience, turning a traditional performance into a shared celebration.

David Bàn is widely known to musical theatre audiences for his powerful voice and commanding stage presence. He has portrayed iconic roles, including the revolutionary leader Danton in 1789: Les Amants de la Bastille, the Prince of Verona in Roméo et Juliette, and Porthos in Les Trois Mousquetaires. Many of the songs that once moved audiences in big theatres will now be reinterpreted in a closer, more dynamic live-house setting, offering a fresh and immersive experience.

The tour will also feature a strong lineup of guests. Italian musical theatre actress Chiara di Bari and French musician Laurent Bàn will appear as special guests, joined by a mystery guest, a surprise reveal expected to ignite the atmosphere on the night.

The concert setlist will span musical theatre classics and genre-crossing favorites, and will also mark the China live debut of David Bàn's original music. Works from his albums L'Alpagueur, 3, 2, 1, and Big Party will be performed, creating a program that moves freely between stage anthems and personal songwriting. 

In a message released ahead of the tour, Bàn directly invited Chinese audiences to join the celebration. "Bonjour! This is an invitation to a Big Party," he said. "I'm incredibly happy to have the chance to finally meet audiences in China." Calling New Year's Eve the perfect moment to come together, he added, "What better time than the turn of the year to celebrate together?"
