Chongqing — Chongqing Airlines, a subsidiary of China Southern Airlines, said Tuesday, January 27, that it will expand its international and regional network in 2026 with new and resumed air services linking the southwestern Chinese city with destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
The announcement was made at a company route promotion event in Chongqing.
The expansion includes new nonstop services to Sabah, Penang and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, a new regional route to Hong Kong, and the resumption of flights to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, the airline said.
The Chongqing–Sabah service is scheduled to begin March 19.
CZ2193 will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 7:00 p.m. and arriving in Sabah at 11:15 p.m.
CZ2194 will operate Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing from Sabah at 12:30 a.m. and arriving in Chongqing at 5:10 a.m.
The Chongqing–Penang service is scheduled to begin April 8.
CZ2195 will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Chongqing at 7:50 p.m. and arriving in Penang at 12:30 a.m. the following day.
CZ2196 will operate Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Penang at 1:30 a.m. and arriving in Chongqing at 5:50 a.m.

The Chongqing–Kuala Lumpur service will also begin April 8.
CZ2191 will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Chongqing at 9:45 p.m. and arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 2:30 a.m. the following day.
CZ2192 will operate Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Kuala Lumpur at 3:30 a.m. and arriving in Chongqing at 8:25 a.m.
CZ2061 will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Chongqing at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Hong Kong at 12:20 p.m.
CZ2062 will operate on the same days, departing Hong Kong at 1:25 p.m. and arriving in Chongqing at 3:45 p.m.
Chongqing Airlines said it will resume its Chongqing–Bangkok route on February 1, followed by the Chongqing–Ho Chi Minh City route on February 3.
With the expanded network, the airline’s international destinations will extend across Southeast and South Asia, including Singapore, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, offering passengers more travel options.
