Beijing - China is willing to work with the United States to maintain the healthy, stable and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations, a spokesperson with the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
The remarks were made by spokesperson He Yongqian at a regular press briefing in response to a question regarding the upcoming sixth round of China-U.S. economic and trade consultations.
Both sides have maintained communication at all levels through the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, the spokesperson said.
China is willing to coordinate with the U.S. side to uphold the consensus that the two heads of state reached both at their 2025 meeting in Busan and during their recent phone talks on Feb. 4, He said.
China stands ready to work with the U.S. side through equal consultation to properly manage differences, expand practical cooperation, and maintain the healthy, stable and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations, so as to better benefit both countries and the world, the spokesperson added.
