Chongqing - As China's 2026 "Two Sessions" get underway, international voices are sharing their perspectives on the country through the #WhyChina campaign launched by the Western China International Communication Organization. The online initiative, hosted on global social media platforms such as Facebook and X, invites foreign scholars, global key opinion leaders (KOLs), community opinion leaders (COLs), and overseas netizens to share their experiences with China.
Dr. Francis Stonier, from the United States, is a professor at Southwest University and the director of the Steam Interdisciplinary International Education Center at this university. Working in China for nearly 8 years, theoretical research and curriculum development in STEAM education, while also cultivating talents in this interdisciplinary field. He says he is glad he decided to pursue his career in China. This country has provided him with opportunities and support to pursue his passion and achieve his goals. Meanwhile, he's setting his sights on an even bigger mission: building bridges and fostering communication and exchanges between the youth of the US and China. He has invited a group of American students to visit China, in the hope of enchancing mutual understanding among the youth of the two nations.
