Chongqing – In the summer of 2025, a collaborative production team from the Western China International Communication Organization and Danish music producer Rasmus Hedegaard ventured across nine provinces and regions in Western China, immersing themselves in the daily lives of ten ethnic groups to create the documentary series Western China's Melody. By blending the soul of ancient folk songs with the pulse of modern electronic beats, the series brings to life a musical journey that allows the world to hear the most authentic and heartfelt heartbeat of Western China.

Along the Zuo River, the Tianqin weaves the bond between the living and ancestors. Hedegaard visits Chongzuo to experience how sacred blessings blend into daily life. As ancient melodies intertwine with modern pop, music bypasses logic to touch the soul, soothing mortal spirits with poetic resonance across time and space.
