Chongqing Yuantai Motorcycle Industry Co., Ltd., in Beibei District, was established at the end of 2024 and went from groundbreaking to trial production in just seven months. Since then, the company's motorcycles have been gaining momentum in overseas markets.
At Yuantai Motorcycle, an intelligent workshop hums with the efficient operation of professional off-road and rally motorcycle production lines.
"Our core market is overseas, with more than 90 percent of our products exported," Liu Hong, director of Yuantai Motorcycle, told China News Service. The company's motorcycles are now sold in nearly 80 countries and regions, with Europe as its largest export market, accounting for more than 60 percent of overseas sales.
"Our overseas sales have maintained an average annual growth rate of more than 20 percent, and we expect this momentum to continue this year," Liu added.

"Just half a year after production began, nearly 10,000 units of our flagship model had already been sold in Europe," Liu said. The company currently offers more than a dozen motorcycle models and expects annual production capacity to reach between 50,000 and 100,000 units this year, with export value projected at 500 million to 1 billion yuan (about 69 million to 138 million U.S. dollars). It also plans to launch more than 10 new models this year to further expand its international presence.
"Achieving trial production in just seven months reflects the pragmatic and efficient working style of the local government," said Guo Jipeng, vice editor-in-chief of New Broad. "For overseas Chinese looking to invest back home, both efficiency and a strong industrial support network are important."
Liu said the company's rapid growth has been supported by Beibei's favorable business environment and well-developed automotive and motorcycle supply chain.
Within a 50-kilometer radius of the factory, suppliers can provide the vast majority of required components, with materials delivered within hours of an order being placed. The close-knit supply chain has significantly shortened production cycles and improved delivery efficiency.
The company is based in the Beibei Park of Western (Chongqing) Science City. Since opening in October 2023, the park has focused on developing intelligent sensors and advanced manufacturing, establishing multiple specialized industrial chains.
To date, the park has attracted nearly 50 industrial projects, with more than 30 already in operation. The annual output value of enterprises above the designated size has reached 1.5 billion yuan, and the intelligent manufacturing cluster continues to gain momentum.
Looking ahead, Beibei is expanding its specialized industrial clusters while positioning itself as a strategic hub within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
The district is also shifting from factor-driven to innovation-driven development while expanding from the domestic market to the global stage.
