Journalists' Day Special | Bridging Cultures, Connecting the World

By DENG, NAN|Nov 08,2026

Chongqing - On Journalists' Day, Chinese and international anchors and reporters from WCICO report from the 7th World Media Summit in Beijing, the 9th China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo, the 14th Culture and Art Festival of Countries in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin, and "A Concert Night in Chongqing" on Nanbin Road. They share the responsibility and passion of being international communication journalists: getting new information every day, traveling to different places, and encountering diverse perspectives. From a Lao student in Saman Village, Xishuangbanna, who could understand the songs sung by Dai villagers, to introducing the Boatman's Chant to Danish musician Rasmus Hedegaard, cross-cultural understanding happens in real life. Although AI and emerging technologies continue to transform our industry, authentic, boots-on-the-ground storytelling remains irreplaceable. We pay tribute to frontline journalists. Happy Journalists' Day! Let us stay curious, honest, and courageous, and keep the human experience at the heart of our craft.
