“Flower-admiring in A Spring Outing” 

Flower-admiring has always been the most attractive highlight of Chongqing’s spring tourism. Themed with “Flower-admiring in A Spring Outing”, a number of districts and counties in Chongqing have launched a series of activities. There are the “Romantic Kaizhou in A Sea of Blossoms” flower-admiring travel season series in Kaizhou District, the 12th Peach Blossom Festival in Taihe Town of Hechuan District, the Spring Flower-admiring and Mountaineering Season in Beibei District, and the first Cherry Blossom Tourism Cultural Festival in Pengshui County. The 6th Qingshan Lake • Wuhe Pear Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival in Wansheng District, the 12th Rape Flower Festival in Tongnan District, and the Plum Blossom Festival in Wushan County are also must-go events, enabling visitors to thoroughly experience the spring of Chongqing.

Enriches the Connotation of Spring Outing

With the deepening of the integration of culture and tourism, this year, plenty of districts and counties in Chongqing have injected strong cultural elements into the spring tourism activities.

It is also suggested to participate in the first Chongqing Homestay Cultural Festival in Liangping District, the Chongqing International Image Festival in Yuzhong District, the local folklore interactive performance series in Tongliang District, and the Fairy Mountain International Kite Season in Wulong. These activities not only allow visitors to admire the spring scenery while deeply understanding and experiencing the distinctive local spring ploughing culture, folk and fashion culture, but also enrich the form and connotation of the spring tour.

“Tourism + Sports” 

The rhythm of spring, highlighting the vitality, gives people the desire to “take exercise”. Therefore, spring has become the preferred season for holding various outdoor sports events.

This spring, Chongqing has launched a series of “tourism + sports” activities. Those activities include the Golden Shitan Town · Qilin Flower Sea Low-altitude Air Sports Tourism Festival in Ba’nan District, the “Trail-tracing in Jiulongpo 2019” 2nd Chongqing National Orienteering Challenge in Jiulongpo District, the Beibei Urban Orienteering, the China Wujiang River Huashan Festival of Miao Nationality and China Pengshui Aquatic Sports Competition in Pengshui County, etc. The general public can have an in-depth understanding and experience of local characteristic landscape and cultural tourism resources while participating in outdoor sports.
