On March 28, Bu Junnan, a sanitation worker on the back street of Shiping Bridge in Jiulongpo District, painted a pond covered with lotus leaves. Holding the pigment in his left and the brush in his right, he completed such movements as toning colors, adding details, and sketching the contours at one go.

Within half an hour, Bu Junnan patched the small ads or mold on the damaged wall. The vivid leaves and green veins won the praise of onlookers.

After finishing the picture, Bu Junnan targeted another two walls covered with a large area of small ads or mold. Painting with the brush repeatedly, he has again changed the stubbornly damaged wall into green leaves in spring, the lotus pond in summer, the fallen leaves in fall, and the wintersweet in winter.

The new landscape comes from a distinctive idea

As Bu Junnan said, he always loves painting in his spare time. The brush, however, is not only his tool for leisure and creation but a great helper for removing the small ads and beautifying the environment.

The traditional scraping method may cause secondary harm to some walls. Therefore, after attempting a new way, Bu Junnan completed his first wall painting. What he used is the professional pigments  that are easy to wash, which will not place a new burden on the wall. These paintings, in addition to hiding the small ads, also become beautiful sceneries in the urban area.
