The Global Image Art Exhibition—LOVE·LOVE·LOVE kicked off on April 5 in Chongqing with a tango performance.
Organized and held by YT Pictures, the exhibition, after the debut in Beijing, chose Chongqing as its first station for the tour in China. Curator Ms. Zhou Xinyi introduced the exhibition as focusing on art creation via images, and the definition of Love also embodies contemporary characteristics.
The exhibits displayed in Chongqing enjoy great influence. Visitors have also seen the precious images of three important female artists, including Yoko Ono, Marina Abramović and Tracey Emin in the same venue.
The 0.7% Salt created in 2009 by Jiang Zhi, a new artist, appeared at the exhibition. This image, however, has another name better known as Tears of Gillian Chung. In the Poly Spring Auction 2017 in Beijing, one of its versions sold for RMB 345,000. When it comes to the reason for creation, Jiang Zhi said, “We should never rush to judge what the cry of a person is, and we should not believe the media or our judgment. What we should do is to examine why we have such a judgment, and what our stance, attitude, psychological background, and even knowledge background are.”
Numerous contemporary young artists including Guo Chuxi and Zhao Zhaoying also brought their works related to Love. Led by them, visitors can discover love, explore love and waken love from the perspective of artists.
Moreover, Liquid Poetry, the artwork of Jackson Yee, also made its debut in Chongqing.
