On the evening of April 23, the Award Ceremony for 2018 China Travelers’ Top Spots, known as “Oscar” in the tourism industry, kicked off in Chongqing. At the award ceremony, Shanghai still maintained its first place in the Top Ten Domestic Travel Destinations for three consecutive years，Chongqing rises to fourth place for the first time. Tokyo ranked first in the Top Ten Overseas Travel Destinations.

 The top ten domestic travel destinations in 2018 were Shanghai, Hong Kong, Xi’an, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing, Sanya, Macao, and Qingdao.

In addition to Chongqing’s award in the Top Ten Domestic Travel Destinations, Yuzhong District, Black Valley Scenic Area  and Night Tour of Yangtze River and Jialing River won the titles of “The Best Cultural and Creative District in China”, “The Best Attraction in China” and “Netizens’ Top Rated Scenic Spot” respectively.

Surprisingly, Chongqing also listed in the Global Top Ten Travel Destinations for Gourmets at the award ceremony.
