Chongqing- The 2nd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) will open on May 16 at the Chongqing International Expo Center. It enjoys Charming Western China Cooperation Exhibition Area, International Cooperation Exhibition Area, New Land-Sea Corridor Cooperation Exhibition Area, Pilot Free Trade Zones Exhibition Area, Regional Cooperation Exhibition Area, Transnational Corporations Exhibition Area, Central Enterprises and State-owned Enterprises Exhibition Area and Well-known Private Enterprises Exhibition Area.
The International Cooperation Exhibition Area (International Hall), sitting in the N1 Hall with an exhibition area of over 1,800 square meters, will welcome 19 countries. It is divided into three zones: Guest Countries of Honor Zone, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Zone, and Other Countries’ Zone.
Pooling global quality resources, the International Hall will primarily demonstrate economic and trade environment, products, tourism and cultures of the Guest Countries of Honor, while introducing representative industries, featured commodities and theme tourism and cultural projects of developed countries and emerging economies. Chongqing, with such efforts, is able to show its openness, diversity and inclusiveness to the outside world further enhances its international influence and appeal, and feels that of the world at the same time.
Let’s have a look at features and highlights of the International Hall.
Hungary Zone comprises State Image + Enterprises Sector, Tourism Experience Sector and Table Football Sector. The first one is supposed to introduce Hungary, including its competitive industries and cooperation with Chongqing in recent years. 40 exhibitors will exhibit advanced technologies and featured products in such fields as food and beverage, innovation, biotech, investment, and real estate.
What is surprising is that the country plans to hold a table football match there, with professional coaches for training and explanation. Other interactive activities include picture-taking with tourist attractions, lucky draw, wine tasting, and customs performance.
Uruguay Zone is going to demonstrate sustainable and natural food production methods and rich natural resources, which focuses on state image, featured industries, festivals, tourism, culture and cooperative projects with Chongqing.
It boasts a theme design of Travel by High-Speed Train. The Zone is also divided into three sectors: Exhibition/Entertainment Sector at the mimetic departure area, Corporation Business Sector for market-like product exhibition and Business Sector for exhibition, business meetings, training, negotiation, and storage.
At the entrance of the SCO Zone stand a locomotive mold and a Shanghai Spirit Drum. In the State Image Exhibition Sector, which seems like the carriage, window-like displays will play videos to introduce history, culture, and economy of 11 countries.
The Corporation Business Sector is supposed to be built into a market, which will exhibit featured products like silk, caviar, and honey. The Business Sector, like the waiting hall, will be used for training, lectures, business meetings, and business negotiation.
It is composed of special international exhibitions of six countries.
Vietnam Sector integrates the country’s culture, tourism and other local elements with design, and exhibits its special resources and agricultural products. Kenya Sector is going to demonstrate varied wild animals, colorful tribe cultures and diversified landforms in the country through the Big Five Game animals. Visitors are allowed to take pictures, ask information about visa and customized tourism, and buy special local food there.
Laos Sector mainly introduces economic and trade achievements made with China and its tourism resources. Exhibits include precious redwood furniture and handicrafts, hand-made silk embroidery, environmentally-friendly agricultural products.
Italy Sector mainly exhibits food, industry, and design, such as olive oil, wine, and scarves.
Japan Sector is for introduction to products and services of Japanese enterprises. Visitors can also enjoy free fitting of bathrobes in this sector. Australia Sector plans to focus on displaying a smart home appliance, elevator manufacturing, vocational education, tourism trade, self-developed healthcare products, etc.
