Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, CRT Liziba Station, Testbed 2 Arts Center and other attractive landmarks have brought waves of tourists to Chongqing over the past few years. The latter then rewards the former with better travel experiences. Let’s have a look!

Jiangbei International Airport: Photograph the orderly and convenient transportation at the specially-designed spot

As soon as stepping out of the airport, tourists will get impressed by Chongqing’s consideration and orderly transportation.

Taxis line up outside Terminal 3 of Jiangbei International Airport, winning applause online via videos shot by visitors. Thus, the airport found the best place for photographing at the end of March, surprising tourists as they were landing in the city.

It is on the overpass outside the No. 7 Gate of the Terminal 3, where people can watch taxis smoothly come and go. Five thousand taxis on average per day allow passengers to leave the airport before the final flight.

CRT Liziba Station: Well-designed and rich details are attractive

CRT Liziba Station is dedicated to promoting Bayu culture. It established a viewing platform to bring tourists closer to Chongqing, a city featuring a rich culture and long history.

It belongs to CRT Line 2, with the Bayu History Exhibition opening 9:00—17:00 every day on the floor below. Staff members here will introduce Bayu culture to tourists.

Stone carved paintings, newspapers, magazines, and old photos make the history of Chongqing alive. Tourists can put a souvenir stamp on his/her belongings at the exhibition hall, making the trip unforgettable.

Every floor of the building owns a photo wall, telling stories of the city. On the other side of the road stands the Liziba Viewing Platform.

To protect photographers, the bus drop-off area and photograph square were open in August 2018. Glass Skywalk and walkways are located here. The 33-degree-angle between the photographing point and the next train allow tourists to take great photos.

Testbed 2 Arts Center: An artistic filming location

Being artistic and romantic, Testbed 2 Arts Center was once a filming location of I Belonged to You.

Walking the slope upwards outside of Exit B of CRT Liziba Station for about 1.5 km, tourists will arrive at the Testbed 2 Arts Center. Besides being a hub for young people to hang out, take photos and eat snacks, I Belonged to You, a film released in 2016, attracts many fans here.

The center restored the scenes, such as the graffiti wall, and held exhibitions and markets to welcome more visitors.

City Radio, situated on the 8th floor of Building H, is another icon of this film. The neon sign still stands on the top of the building, seeing proposals happen now and then.

People can make handicrafts, taste delicacies, and photograph on the art street, more than visiting film locations.

Yangtze River Cableway: Enjoy beautiful sceneries in the sky

Tourists can take CRT Line 6 to Shangxinjie Station, then take a bus to Longmenhao Station, and walk another 3 minutes to the Yangtze River Cableway. It launched the light show on December 31, 2018, which turns the cableway into an appealing visual corridor at night. Themed with “Flying through the Mountain City with Stars near at Hand,” the show encompasses light views and performances. When the night falls, the cableway becomes a “Milk Way” flying over the Yangtze River. Sitting inside the carriage, tourists will enjoy beautiful sceneries down in the city. The river glistening in the light helps people understand the mountain-and-river culture of Chongqing.

On the holidays, the brilliant light show of Chongqing's impressive downtown vista entices people to keep that moment in their cameras. Afterward, tourists can visit the nearby Xiaoshizi Station and let the Chongqing Rail Transit take them to the lively nightlife in the city.

For best results, don't forget your selfie stick.
