Chongqing - on June 21, 2019, the 1st Japanese Products Exhibition started at Shin Kong Place in Chongqing. This event will continue until June 30 with a variety of shows. People in Chongqing could experience fruitful traditional Japanese culture and food through this unique exhibition.
The event brought together 85 authentic Japanese brands, with more than 500 selected Japanese products. 38 Japanese brands are entering the Chinese market for the first time. In addition, 55 Japanese employees came to Chongqing to provide services to the citizens in Chongqing. Kyoto and Hiroshima have introduced two traditional cultural performances, including Jing Dance and Taiko. During the event, more than 50 performances will be held to let everyone experience the most authentic Japanese style.

In terms of food, many gourmet restaurants from Kyoto, Tokyo, Miyazaki, Sapporo, and other places will be at the venue. In 1884, the old bean shop "Douzheng" will present bean snacks and traditional Japanese dim sum. There is an over 300 years old Sanctuary will bring the traditional Kyoto restaurant "Hachibashi Cake." the Matsuri Hall, founded in 1705, will bring aromatherapy in a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern style. Ramen noodles, rice balls, takoyaki, ingenuity, cakes and other food and desserts from Tokyo, Miyazaki, Sapporo, and other places are on the site as well. Japan's three centuries old wineries will bring a unique Japanese wine award.

In addition to tasting Japanese delicacies, during the event, you can experience Japanese traditional dance performances, Taiko drum performances, cosplay theme show, music live show, and other activities. The Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing, together with ABC Cooking Studio and JTB, has brought a vibrant and colorful Japanese cultural experience to Chongqing citizens: sightseeing information, visa consultation, and study abroad consultations in Japan. Local representatives of some prefectures in Japan are in the venue.
