At the 2019 Smart China Expo (SCE) in Chongqing, the ISO Future Network Global Action Initiative and the ISOAIEN Blue Book Press Conference took place on the afternoon of August 26. At the conference, a scientific and technological achievement – APCOS (an IoT operating system) was released. Mr. Jiang Xianguo, Chairman of ISO/TC 97/SC6, and Ni Guangnan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the press conference.

Mr. Jiang introduced that the future network formulated and developed such organizations as ISO, IEC, and ITU aims to solve the predictable and achievable network technology specification in the limited time in the future. So far, there are three series of standards including ISO/IEC TR 29181, ISO/IEC CD 21558 and ISO/IEC CD 21559, some of which are formulated by Chinese experts.

At the press conference, Shi Weiren, member of China Instrument and Control Society and Professor of Chongqing University, introduced the scientific and technological achievement of Beone – APCOS. “This year’s SCE has witnessed a big change compared with the last one. There are noteworthy scientific and technological innovations, including the aforementioned future network, which will be of great significance to the development of information technology in the future.” Moreover, Mr. Ni gave his comments on the operating system. He expressed the major innovation point of APCOS can integrate the IoT, pervasive computing, blockchain, multi-protocol, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data.
