The 8th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo (CICIE) will open on September 12, when Chongqing will showcase the fashionable cultural creative works of 2500 exhibitors from nearly 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions around China. More than 28 friendly countries and regions will also display works. The exhibition will display in five halls, covering more than 60,000 square meters.
Craftsmen and art masters will participate in CICIE
The 8th CICIE will show the unique charm of culture from Chongqing to the world. According to the organizing committee, besides the Palace Museum, the British Library, and other best-received cultural creativity brands, 25 top design & manufacturing enterprises of cultural equipment in China will join the gathering in Chongqing.
This CICIE will also show top cultural equipment around China, such as game machines, module flying theatres, interactive rides, holographic touch display cases, and superfusion AI. They will bring visitors an immersive sightseeing experience in a beautiful world.
During this event, the Fashionable Cultural Creative Festival sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Committee will stage on the world arena.
At the debut, this festival aims to show the gorgeous creativity and works of Chongqing-based creators to the world exhibitors, thus bridging for their cooperation and promoting the creation of more local cultural and creative works to show the beauty of this city.
Chongqing Industrial Arts Association has also prepared varieties of exhibits, such as Shanshen lacquer, Tang tri-color glazed ceramics, ceramic arts and imperial court embroidery by national-level crafts and art masters for visitors at the CICIE. On the 5th Selection Activity of Chongqing Craft Masters, visitors will have the chance to watch the creation processes of the candidates and interact with them, enjoying the appeal of art in a short distance.
During this event, the 4th Arts and Crafts Masters & International Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Craftsman Cup Award will show thousands of dazzling artworks. Fujian Shoushan Stone engraving artworks, excellent pieces culled from Shanghai Art Exhibition, and collections from Taiwan and mainland China in the Fujian Province and Taiwan Cultural Creative Exhibition Zone will also be showcased. Besides, the large exhibition of calligraphy, fine arts, and photography in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China will also debut during this period.
Visitors are also well-advised to listen to the latest ideas about the cultural creativity of China besides strolling in the exhibition halls and participating in activities.
This CICIE will bring both the Forum of China’s Cultural Cities as usual and the 14th China Media Conference at the same time.
The Forum of China’s Cultural Cities will guide audiences on the journey of culture-tourism integration since experts from Chongqing, Guizhou and Fujian will present their research achievements through keynote speeches.
Zhou Yong, President of Association of Chongqing Local History, will deliver a speech themed on building a favorable urban cultural ecology; Fu Xiaofan, professor of MBA Education Center of School of Management and Department of Philosophy, College of Humanities, Xiamen University, will share his insights about how to reshape a city image with unique characteristics.
A roundtable meeting will be held to initiate a further discussion on driving the city’s sustainable development by centering on urban culture, promoting the emerging industry cultural development model through the world’s intangible cultural heritage, tapping and leveraging the ecological and cultural resources in an all-round manner, and fostering the city’s cultural trait and atmosphere.
