President of Schneider Electric (China): Developing Intelligent Logistics Requires Innovation

Chongqing- On Sept. 28, Yin Zheng, Global Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric and President of Schneider Electric (China), spoke to media at the 14th annual meeting of Chongqing Mayor's International Economic Advisory Council (CMIA). "The development of intelligent logistics cannot be separated from technological innovation, nor can it be separated from the guarantee by mechanism innovation," said Mr. Zheng.

"Chongqing is strategically significant for Schneider Electric's business development in the central and western regions of China, and it has established a comprehensive layout of integrating production, education, and research in Chongqing, which covers such fields as innovation, R&D, personnel training and intelligent manufacturing," said Mr. Zheng.

Schneider Electric has built a production base of intelligent terminals in Wanzhou in 2012, mainly for producing switch panels and other electrical products. Yin Zheng disclosed that the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Schneider Electric signed a strategic cooperation agreement on building the Chongqing Innovation Center for Schneider Electric Intelligent Manufacturing in September 2018, Schneider’s first innovation center in China. It is currently under intense preparation and will be completed this year.
