The Light Show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, themed "Long Live the Motherland," is set to stage from September 21 to October 10 in Chongqing. At 8 pm, September 27, the show will be broadcast live on Eastern Horizon, a news program of the China Central Television (CCTV).
In this land of natural beauty, the decorative lighting in the busy streets, the beautiful lamps along main roads and bridges and a myriad of twinkling lights of each family make up a shimmering sea of lights in picturesque disorder. Tourists from home and abroad have flocked into this attractive city and left their traces in the must-go destinations, including Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and Jiangbeizui.
To celebrate the 70th National Day, Chongqing has created an air of festivity with the Long Live the Motherland-themed Light Show from September 21 to October 10. Centering on the Two Rivers and Four Riversides, the Ten-screen Interaction in Jiangbeizui, Hongyadong and Jiefangbei, the Show exploits the existing decorative lighting resources to highlight the features of the Land of Natural Beauty and the City with Cultural Appeal while presenting the city spirit of A Tour in Chongqing, A Gain in Vision and expressing the citizens’ love to the communist party of China and their best wishes to the motherland.
Yuzhong, Jiangbei, and Nan’an districts are the main stages of the Light Show. Hot spots and landmarks including Hongyadong, Raffles City, Chongqing World Financial Center, Jiangbeizui CBD, Nanbin Road, Chaotianmen Bridge, Chongqing Grand Theatre, Changjiahui Shopping Park, Dongshuimen Bridge, and Qiansimen Bridge will debut on the CCTV program.
