Chongqing—The 2^nd Asia-Europe Cooperation Dialogue opens in SW China’s Chongqing on December 2, 2019. Attendees were more than 400 guests form governments, the business community, and academic circles from 21 countries and regions and three international organizations. 

Shamshad Akhtar, Former Under Secretary General of the United Nations, visited Chongqing for the first time and she was impressed by the "amazing lighting effects" of Chongqing at night.

Chongqing is at the intersection of the Belt and Road and the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the city has been making efforts towards innovation by fully leveraging big data and artificial intelligence.
