Chrysanthemum tea from Chongqing’s Yunyang County is now available in Singapore! Recently, Yunyang’s first batch of three tons of chrysanthemum was shipped to Singapore after completing export formalities. It was the first time Chongqing exported the chrysanthemum to Singapore.

As a local, high-quality agricultural product, Yunyang chrysanthemum is also one of the most famous and commercially valuable varieties in China, rivaling Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum and Hangzhou white chrysanthemum.

At the beginning of 2019, Chongqing Customs District P.R.China (Chongqing Customs) issued the Work Plan on Supporting Food and Agricultural Products to “Go Global” of Chongqing Customs District P.R.China to boost the export of exclusive agricultural products in Chongqing’s districts and counties. Chongqing Customs has provided enterprises in Zhongxian County with support and guidance in manufacturing sweet potato powder, Liangping bean stick, Yunyang chrysanthemum, condiment, noodles, Wanzhou grill fish, Fengjie mushroom and other characteristic products.

Efforts have also been made to simplify the registration process and optimize the approval procedures in the aspects of production base registration and export production enterprise registration, to help enterprises that meet the export requirement to obtain export qualifications quickly.

By adjusting its plans based on local conditions and products, Chongqing Customs will continue its work to establish a platform for promoting Chongqing’s agricultural products going global.
