Chongqing - While people in China are paying attention to the 2019-nCoV, the epidemic has also attracted much international attention. Members of the Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum sent an encouraging video to China. Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum had a mayor scholarship cooperation project with the Journalism and Communication College of Chongqing Normal University.
The video recording was organized by Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum, which has close cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka and the local Chinese community.

Chamara Ranmandala is the head of the forum and was also a member of the CNU-Sri Lanka Advanced Media Talents Training Program. After learning of the video recording, he accepted all challenges and led members of his company to start designing and producing. Firstly, he tried his best to get permission from the Sri Lanka-China Cultural Center. Afterward, Chamara gathered the forum members and his own film crew within a day. "The producers of this recording are all my colleagues, and many of them have participated in the mayor scholarship program of Chongqing Normal University," he said.

Chamara admits that when making this video, they did not have enough time to organize and practice, encountering many difficulties.
The first problem they encountered was how to organize forum members in a single day, as most of them were senior staff of Sri Lanka media companies. Fortunately, they arrived within a day after receiving the news.
Chamara marked the Chinese pronunciation with Sinhalese
Chinese pronunciation was another problem they had to face. However, Chamara marked the Chinese pronunciation with Sinhalese, with the help of his Chinese friends.
The poster
As stated in the poster, the friendship between China and Sri Lanka will last for a long time. Meanwhile, the epidemic will never cause any change in the friendship between the two countries for thousands of years. Moreover, they will also get China’s back.
Besides, Chamara said that the Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum plans to organize a traditional Sri Lankan pray ceremony at Colombo's main temple. In order to hold the ceremony, they will also invite members of the Sri Lankan government parliament and some Chinese officials in Sri Lanka.
