Chongqing- On April 10, the press conference for the establishment of the Chongqing Blockchain Innovation Alliance was held. According to Chongqing's blockchain development work, the Chongqing Big Data Development Bureau, in conjunction with the People's Government of Yuzhong District, has organized more than 110 well-known enterprises such as Inspur, IBM, Huawei, Tencent, and China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom to establish Chongqing Blockchain Innovation Alliance (the Alliance for short). The blockchain base is located in the intelligent industry cluster in Yuzhong District, with the planning area of nearly 400,000 square meters. In November 2017, the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information and the People's Government of Yuzhong District jointly launched the construction of the blockchain base, focusing on building a blockchain application ecosystem, and committed to creating a national-level blockchain industry innovation demonstration park.

At present, the first and second phase carriers of the blockchain base are nearly 130,000 square meters, with more than 40 enterprises and institutions settled, such as Inspur, IBM, and more. More than 30 leading enterprises and institutions, such as Huawei Blockchain and Ericsson, are under discussion. In 2019, the blockchain base successfully connected to the China-Singapore International Data Channel.

On the other hand, the Alliance relies on Chongqing's first blockchain industry innovation base and aims to build an open platform for blockchain communication, cooperation, innovation, and application. Meanwhile, the Alliance is striving to promote upstream and downstream collaboration in the blockchain industry chain, and collaboration in production, education, research, and research. Besides, it also serves the blockchain enterprises. In this way, the Alliance will help to promote member units to cooperate closely on key blockchain technologies, applications, standards, and more, and jointly advances the development of Chongqing blockchain technology and industrial innovation, therefore, supporting the high-quality development of Chongqing blockchain digital economy.

Each department and enterprise gives full play to the advantages of each member unit, based on the blockchain basic technology platform, take the lead in releasing the Chongqing blockchain public service platform, and gather high-quality resources, and build an open environment for blockchain enterprises in terms of communication, cooperation, innovation, and application. Also, the cooperation between the upstream and downstream of the industry chain between alliance members promotes the cooperation of industry, academia, and research.

In addition, Chongqing will focus on blockchain technology for civil and political commercial use, carrying out blockchain application pilots in new smart cities, health, and other fields. Chongqing is actively exploring the new model of 5G + blockchain and encouraging companies to explore blockchain commercial application models. For example, the Diagnostic Chain jointly created by Huayi Kangdao and Baidu blockchain, which achieves the warning, in-process supervision, and retrospection of the diagnosis and treatment process, was awarded 2019 China Blockchain Technology Innovation Typical Enterprise.

For the next step, the Chongqing Big Data Development Bureau and the the People's Government of Yuzhong District will lead the Alliance to promote the management of the blockchain industry actively. The base will efficiently organize large-scale industrial development activities and regularly holds seminars, salons, and other industrial exchange activities.
