From 0 to 24:00 on June 29, there was no new cases of newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19 from local or overseas, and one case of asymptomatic infection imported from UK.

As of 24:00 on June 29, Chongqing currently has 3 imported confirmed cases, a total of 3 discharged cases, and a total of 6 imported confirmed cases reported; there are no local confirmed cases and suspected cases; there are 11 cases of non-symptomatic infection, of which 3 cases were imported from Hubei Province (1 case reported in Yuzhong District, 1 case reported in Yubei District, and 1 case reported in Rongchang District), and 7 cases were imported overseas (2 cases from the United Kingdom, 2 cases from Sudan, 3 cases from India), 1 original case in the local area (reported from Changshou District), 11 cases of asymptomatic infections are under medical observation; as of 24:00 on June 29, a total of 25390 close contacts were tracked, and 25355 medical observation has been removed. There are still 35 people under medical observation.

According to Dr. Su Kun, Doctor of Epidemiology, Institute of Infectious Disease Control, City Center for Disease Control, he stated that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the world has reached new highs. As of June 29, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the world has exceeded 10 million, and the cumulative number of deaths has exceeded 500,000. At present, overseas outbreaks are still spreading, new cases of COVID-19 have been continuously diagnosed in some areas of the country, and the risk of outbreak prevention and control still exists. The prevention and control work must not be relaxed. “We must continue to maintain normalization and precise prevention and control, and effectively strengthen immigration personnel. Closed-loop management, implementing measures such as inspection, delivery, observation, quarantine, and treatment of inbound personnel, and strictly preventing the spread of overseas epidemic situations; we must pay close attention to key places and communities, factories, campuses, scenic spots, businesses such as farmers' markets, wholesale markets, shopping malls and supermarkets, hospitals and other public areas should strictly prevent the risk of aggregation and associated infections, and prevent the rebound of the epidemic situation”, he said.

“Recently, Chongqing's imported fresh food (such as seafood, salmon, beef and mutton) and environment (such as food packaging, cutting boards, etc.) related to wholesale markets, large and medium-sized supermarkets, farmers' markets and catering places. Staffs must take emergency surveillance of COVID-19 nucleic acid. A total of 4370 specimens have been collected, and the results of the COVID-19 nucleic acid laboratory tests are all negative. In the future, we will continue to carry out continuous and dynamic monitoring of key environment and employees. Identify potential risks in a timely manner.
