Presently, Chongqing Daily News Group is inviting bids to produce the film that will premiere at the official lighting ceremony of the Liangjiang Four Riverbank Night City show. The overall project has a budget of 4 million RMB and requires two 15 minute high-quality productions based on the dual seasonal themes of spring-summer and autumn-winter.

Once completed, this film production will be displayed on 20 high-rise façade media screens and three major bridges visible from the Chongqing four riverbanks. The aim is to exhibit the quintessence of Chongqing as a prosperous, international metropolis.

Well-known features of the Chongqing skyline taking part include the Grand Theatre, Guohua Financial Center, HNA-Poly International Center, the Sheraton, and Crown International, the skyscrapers of major Chinese banks, as well as the Chaotianmen, Dongshuimen and Qiansimen Bridges.

Producers require expert technical skills to create an optimal visual effect that simultaneously accentuates individual quality while the structures collectively project an interactive routine.

All bidders must individually produce works that feature entirely original content meeting all national and industry quality standards in production.

Following a review process over the summer months, the final product will be installed for testing before the lighting ceremony officially takes place on October 1st, 2020.

Bidding organizations must satisfy a number of requirements which include possessing a media, events, or performance-related business license, and they must have an active track record and relevant experience going back at least three years.

On application, bidders have to provide supporting materials in the form of a media production they have successfully produced in the past three years, and that had a minimum budget of 1 million RMB.

Organizations that wish to bid need at least six professionally qualified staff in relevant fields, which can include music, animation, and choreography. The team leader responsible for the bid should possess at least a second-tier director’s qualification, while all participating members must be upstanding individuals without any past injunctions.
