As of 8 o'clock on August 20th, the flood peak has caused 263,200 people in 15 districts and counties of Chongqing to be affected, 251,000 people were evacuated in emergency, 132,700 people were urgently transferred and resettled, 3444 people in need of emergency life assistance, and 23700 shops were flooded. 860 enterprises and operating markets, 320 riverside roads, 148 bridges, 194 garages, 42,000 parking spaces, 663 motor vehicles, 70 docks and stations, and 84 riverside park squares were flooded. There were 4095 houses damaged and 8,636 hectares of crops affected by these floods.

In response to the flood disaster, Chongqing has arranged an advance allocation of 19.8 million yuan in disaster relief funds in advance, and urgently dispatched 94,000 relief supplies, a large amount of drinking water and convenience food to support the disaster areas. The disaster-stricken areas and counties have adopted various methods such as setting up tents, vacating classrooms and public houses, etc. in order to better transfer and resettlement of the victims, and timely distribute quilts, clothing, bread, milk, water and other relief materials to the victims.
