The Qijiang Science and Technology Innovation Center is located in Qijiang Industrial Park, Chongqing. The site covers an area of ​​approximately 87 mu, with a total floor space of roughly 66,000 square meters.

The main components include the Party Service Center, Intelligent Center, R&D Testing Center, Sanchuang (Three Innovations) Center, a high tech exhibition hall, the Tencent Cloud Technology Innovation Center, and a 5G experience hall.

Among these, the Sanchuang Center will attract small to micro-sized enterprises with strong growth potential to become a national-level business incubator.

The R&D Test Center plans to introduce research and testing institutions such as the Beijing General Research Institute of Building Materials, Chongqing University, the Chongqing Research Institute of Science and Technology, the Chongqing Quality Inspection Institute, Chongqing Automobile Research Institute, and the China Chongqing Institute of Architectural Design.

The Chongqing Qijiang Hi-Tech Industrial Park is expected to become a center of innovation in big data and information security.

High-quality products will upgrade R&D and testing service platforms in the industrial park. The three key areas are the automobile and motorcycle industry with a core focus on new energy, the new building materials industry for construction modernization, and the high-end metal industry focused on aluminum for transport use.

The Qijiang Science and Technology Innovation Center is under construction and will be part of the Western Information Security Valley. With the core focus of industry development, the Western Information Security Valley will build clusters in the industries of cyberspace, information security, data recovery, and training clusters for rearing talented individuals in information security.

District deputy leader Mr. Shi Chonggang explained, ’Our goal is to finalize the major projects by 2020 and initiate construction of the Information Security Institute and the China-Singapore Disaster Recovery, Industrial Park. By 2025, we will achieve a development system for information security that is functional, open, and intelligent, with an efficient and green environment.’

Qijiang will also host the ‘Gujian Forum·CISDR China Information Security and Data Disaster Recovery Technology Industry Summit Forum at the Smart China Expo this year.

As an essential sub-forum of the 2020 Online Smart Expo, the event will bring together industry experts who can make a profound contribution to the development of information security and disaster recovery technology in Chongqing.
