The online press conference, themed “iFLYTEK 2020 Artificial Intelligence Forum,” was held by the Smart Roadshow News Center of the 2020 Smart China Expo Online, only hours before the Forum actually took place.

As perhaps one of the best-known Chinese information technology companies in the world and a top industry player in artificial intelligence, voice recognition, natural language understanding, and machine learning, iFLYTEK has been highly involved in the annual Smart China Expo for the last three years.

Due to the regular COVID-19 control and prevention measures, this year’s Smart China Expo was held both online and offline, with most of the exhibitions and forums being conducted virtually. iFLYTEK also set up its virtual booth on the expo’s Online Exhibition Hall, showcasing its various application scenarios in education, healthcare, and government services. Many of its state-of-the-art product prototypes, such as the smart translator, smart business tablet, and intelligent leaning machine, were also displayed during the expo.

According to Liu Yuan, general manager of the iFLYTEK’s Chongqing branch company, iFLYTEK has inked a strategic partnership agreement with the Chongqing Municipal Government and will help with the transformation and upgrading of the city’s traditional industries.

iFLYTEK has also directly invested in five local companies, which has evolved into a corporate ecosystem of more than 40 startup companies, providing top-notch services in education and healthcare, Liu said. “Take education. For instance, iFLYTEK’s ecosystem companies have provided services to over a thousand primary and secondary schools in Chongqing.”

Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, iFLYTEK’s services guaranteed the smooth and seamless transition from offline study to online study for approximately 200,000 students in the city’s 16 counties and districts. Liu added.
