Chongqing - The 1st Chongqing Night View Cultural Festival and the 5th Chongqing Culture and Tourism Consumption Promotional Season (Autumn & Winter) kicked off at Jiefangbei CBD on the night of September 26th. 

"Our opening ceremony tonight is brilliant. Tourist attractions with A ratings, holiday resorts, village tour parks, and cultural creative parks show up, promote their brands, and send out products with favorable prices. Products of intangible culture heritage, culture creative products, and handicrafts are displayed, which livens up the history and carries forward traditional skills. Tonight special performances featuring intangible cultural heritage and 'The Night Of The Mountain City' art performance will be staged. Meanwhile, the opening ceremony will be broadcast online simultaneously. " Mr.Liu Qi, the director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, addressed at the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Peking opera, the ballet dance, acrobatics, special performances featuring intangible cultural heritage like “Dragon and Lion Dance,” “Carp Lamp Dance,” “Waving Dance of Tujia Ethnic Group", the Han-style costume show, and so forth were staged and made an impression on audiences.

According to the introduction of Mr.Qin Dingbo, the deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the 1st Chongqing Night View Cultural Festival and the 5th Chongqing Culture and Tourism Consumption Promotional Season consist of five types of activities that will last until next February. These activities include ten theme routes of night tour, excellent dramas, films, and performances staged by theaters and cinemas, healthy programs like hot springs, the “Chongqing Good Gifts” exhibition, and extended service hours of museums, art halls, and libraries. “All of these culture and tourism products and services we provide are market-oriented and to meet tourists’ demands. I’m sure tourists can get a good experience if they participate.” Mr. Qin said.
