Chongqing- On October 29, the opening ceremony of the art exhibition, Raffaello Opera Omnia, was launched in the Raffles City Chongqing. The Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Chongqing invites the public to visit the exhibition in Raffles City Chongqing. This exhibition is combined with the global art education promotion project, presented by the Italian national radio station RAICom. The exhibition in Chongqing, which consists of 36 high-definition and original size reproductions of Raphael's works, is located on the 32nd floor of the office building Block C of Raffles City Chongqing. In addition, the original works are currently collected in 18 museums in seven different countries all over the world. Through high-definition filming and simulation of the original large output technology for high-quality reproduction, the image quality and color temperature of Raphael’s masterpieces are originally presented.
The art of Raffaello Opera Omnia had been successfully held in three cities in China - Kunming, Chengdu, and Chongqing. According to Guido Bilancini, Consul General of the Republic of Italy in Chongqing, there are 36 high-definition and original size reproductions of Raphael's works. It is also one of the consulate’s key promotion activities this year. For their next vital activities are celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and Italy in November. Moreover, from November 23 to 29, the Italian food carnival will also be held in Southwest China.

The year 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. It is also 500 years after the death of the great Renaissance master Rafael Santi. Various events had been launched worldwide to pay tribute to him and commemorate his precious artistic masterpieces for future generations.

Tang Wen, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, said: “This year coincides with the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and Italy. The art of Raffaello Opera Omnia in Chongqing has its special significance. As we all know, China and Italy are both important cultural countries globally, and cultural exchanges have always been a crucial part of the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy.” Since its establishment of the Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Chongqing, it has attached great importance to holding China-Italian cultural exchange activities in Chongqing and has successfully held Giuseppe Verdi Opera Exhibition, European Oil Painting Exhibition, and other cultural exhibitions. Meanwhile, their Autumn Festival also impressed Chongqing people a lot.

The exhibition began on October 27 and will last until November 30.
