Chongqing Company Explores Cooperation with Foreign Counterparts via Online Purchasing Meeting

Chongqing-  Chongqing RATO Holding Group (RATO) held screen-to-screen talks with purchasers of power equipment from Pakistan, Colombia, Vietnam, and the Philippines between October 26 and November 4 when the China-Asia Online Purchasing Meeting and Chongqing Power and New Energy Session was held in Chongqing. This provided both sides an opportunity to enhance their businesses' mutual understandings and helped them communicate further on potential cooperation opportunities.

“RATO and the purchasers talked about products such as power, generators, water pumps, and mini-tillers, as well as the sales in the local market and other relevant information,” said Guanghua Chen, Assistant General Manager from Department of General Machinery Business at RATO.

According to Chen, through the connection between the government and industry associations as well as the government and chambers of commerce from the target country, participating companies' qualifications and credit can be effectively ensured, helping to control trade risks better.

He hopes such activity can be carried out in the future, allowing import and export enterprises to expand their business channels. “If possible, I hope we can focus more on key markets in the electromechanical industry,” said Chen. “Especially in vertical fields, including diesel power and general machinery products, which can further increase the success rate of business negotiations.”

In 2020, RATO expects to produce and sell more than 2.6 million units of a wide variety of products and achieve sales revenue of more than 2 billion yuan. Looking towards the future, RATO will maintain contact with existing customers through online network channels while intensifying its online business development at the same time.

In addition to Chongqing RATO Holding Group, another company engages in the import and export of power and new energy, including Chongqing Zongshen General Power Machine. 

During this ten-day session, 30 Chongqing companies and 50 foreign buyers from Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Colombia have participated in the nearly 20 online one-to-one trade negotiations and product exhibitions.
