Chongqing, Central-Eastern European Countries Foreign Trade Achieves 20 Billion Yuan

On February 5, 2021, the reporter learned from the Fifth China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting that in 2020, the import & export value between Chongqing and 17 Central-Eastern European Countries (CEECs) achieved approximately 19.98 billion yuan (about 3.09 billion U.S. dollars), a year-on-year growth of 24.7%.

Commodities exported from Chongqing to 17 CEECs mainly included portable automatic data processing equipment and other electronic information products, light industrial products, and chemical products, while commodities imported from 17 CEECs mainly included metals and metal, ceramics, and electronic information products.

The First China-CEEC National Leaders' Meeting was held in Warsaw, Poland, on April 26, 2012, officially commencing the cooperation between China and CEECs. In July 2013, the First China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting was held in Chongqing.
