Chongqing- The 3rd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) is to be held at the Chongqing Yuelai International Expo Center from May 20-23rd. Events including themed exhibitions, forums, trade negotiations, and contract singings are just a few examples of the numerous highlights we can expect.

With so much to choose from, here is an exhibition guide for you to make the very most of your visit!

Entry reservations

There are three ways to enter the conference.

Entrance to WCIFIT this year is free of charge, and visitors can make reservations through the official website and WeChat portal.

Ordinary visitors can enter the conference in the three following ways;

• Adult visitors can reserve their entrance through the official website or WeChat portal, and then enter the conference by scanning a valid QR code.
• On-site registration during the event is possible with a QR code produced to allow entry.
• Visitors may swipe their 2nd generation ID cards for entry.

The exhibition hall will implement flow control in the interests of epidemic prevention. Visitors are recommended to make a reservation online, perform self-health monitoring, and take personal precautions such as social distancing and wearing a mask.

Transportation

Please be aware traffic controls will be in place for WCIFIT

The Expo Center is accessible by public bus, subway and personal transport, but you should pay attention to traffic control measures in advance.

• Public transport - Visitors and exhibitors traveling from Yuzhong, Yubei, Shapingba, Nanping, and Beibei can take a bus or the subway to the National Expo Center station. The branch line of Subway Line 6 travels directly to the National Expo Center, with transfers available with other subway lines.
• Private transport - There are over ten alternate routes available to the National Expo Center by car from Jiangbei, Yuzhong and Shapingba etc, but advance notice should be taken of traffic control measures.

Event Highlights

Over 100 events including conferences, exhibitions, competitions and discussions will feature at WCIFIT this year, where important guests such as politicians, experts, scholars, and business leaders from home and abroad will gather.

The events will follow a tight schedule featuring;

• Opening Ceremony and the 2021 CCI-New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor International Cooperation Forum.
• Signing ceremonies and public releases of major projects.
• The 2021 Asia Enterprise of Tomorrow - Chongqing and China Open Economic Development International Cooperation Forum

Over 500 investment cooperation projects

A series of investment promotion and negotiation activities will be held, with more than 500 cooperation projects to be launched.

• The nations of Vietnam, Algeria, Indonesia, Colombia, and Laos will conduct economic and trade cooperation and hold meetings for exchange.
• Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will hold a Guangxi Exhibition and Promotional Conference titled "Serving the New International Land-Sea Corridor and Promoting Development in Western China".
• Yunnan Province will hold the Yunnan Province Investment and Cooperation Promotion Conference.
• Guizhou Province will hold the Chongqing-Guizhou Investment Promotion Conference.
• Further events include the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Promotion Conference and Qamdo Tibetan Autonomous Region Investment Promotion Conference.

Exhibition attractions

A total of 8 themed pavilions will feature at WCIFIT in the Northern Section, each with its own special attractions including first appearances for motorcycles and big health. The eight pavilions will be located as follows;

• N1 Chongqing Pavilion
• N2 Regional Cooperation Pavilion
• N3 International Pavilion
• N4 Famous Enterprise Pavilion
• N5 Automobile and Motorcycle Industry Pavilion
• N6 Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Pavilion

Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Pavilion

The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Pavilion has been set up to showcase the advantages and latest results of cooperation, with a high-speed rail feature providing a visual treat.

The themed areas zone will feature exhibits of intangible heritage through an image wall displaying the vitality of Bashu culture.

International Pavilion

The International Pavilion has been modeled on the style of an international street brimming with exotic customs and multiculturalism. Container and cargo ship design elements have been added to display the grandeur of the Belt and Road.

Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia are guests of honor at WCIFIT this year, where they will showcase local cultural and tourism products.

Chongqing Pavilion

The Chongqing Pavilion is themed on a national open platform featuring artistic elements that combine modern sound and light effects, multimedia, video matrices, and virtual reality.

Famous Enterprises Pavilion

A large number of well-known state-owned and private enterprises will gather at WCIFIT to showcase their new technologies, products, and applications through modern audio-visual and intelligent display methods.

Crowd pulling exhibits will feature new technologies in aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and electronic terminals, while a variety of ‘black technologies’ make an appearance for live experiences on-site.
