The 7th Western China Tourism Industry Expo (WTE) & 2021 Chongqing International Culture and Tourism Industry Expo (CICTIE) will be held at the Chongqing International Expo Center from June 11 to 14, merging the annual CICTIE event and biannual WTE event together for the first time.

With a total exhibition area of 66,000 square meters, the event aims to provide a full display of new achievements made by domestic and foreign culture and tourism with a focus on Chongqing. There are not only a red tourism theme exhibition area, an ICH teaching interaction exhibition area, and others that will bring a feast of colorful culture, but also a culture and tourism equipment exhibition area. By then, citizens can come to visit immersive experience space, star-gazing room, glamping hotel, and plenty more, as well as gain more insights into the latest developments in culture and tourism equipment.

Display the integration of technology and art in a visualized way

Want to know which colors are your moods? At the event, you will find the colors of your moods in a "black box" and interact with them to create an exclusive fantastic light and shadow space.

"This immersive experience space is actually an interaction installment which is able to display people's moods in a visualized way. It can capture people's moods and interact with people by displaying particles of different colors," said a relevant head from the exhibition area.

This immersive experience space brings together technologies such as interaction, UI design, and imaging systems which can be applied to government services, smart city, culture and tourism, broadcast television and new media, digital display, digital art consumption, and other aspects. Now, the installment has been applied to unmanned hotels and other scenarios and will be displayed at the China Pavilion of the Expo 2020 Dubai.

Stargazing rooms improve travel experience with 360-degree scenery

Stargazing must be on the must-do list of many people who travel. This event will display diverse characterful stargazing rooms that are designed to meet the wish.

In the Xiaozhu Youqi exhibition area, a master bedroom with a diameter of 4.5 meters and a bathroom with a diameter of 2.1 meters together constitute a transparent and stylish small roundhouse with a space of 20 square meters. When placed outdoors, it not only allows tourists to directly enjoy the local landscape but also meets their needs to look up at the stars at night.

"As the tourism industry advances, increasing tourists long for an upgraded and special experience besides a comfortable residence, which explains the reason why such houses are designed." Xu Minhui, the person in charge of the exhibition area, said that this house, with the most advanced building materials, can isolate all ultraviolet and 90% of infrared rays and has the effect of heat insulation.

Movable Glamping tents embody camping aesthetics

In response to tourists' needs for outdoor camping, the Himalaya exhibition area will set up a camping space equipped with bedrooms, long tables, and public restrooms, covering an area of 120 square meters. With exquisite furnishings and amenities, it will convey the concept of camping aesthetics to the public.

Zhang Qi, the person in charge of the exhibition area, said: "In the current hotel industry, there is no shortage of business formats that can meet people's rigid demands, but there is a lack of products that can integrate with nature and meet people's needs for product tonality. Unlike ordinary hotels, the detachable and movable Glamping tents can not only satisfy people's needs for high-quality accommodation but also close the distance between tourists and nature when placed in the natural environment."

Such tents have been introduced to Shanghai, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and other parts of China. In addition to meeting people's accommodation requirements, different business formats like catering, night economy, and supporting facilities can also be presented in the form of tents. "This cultural tourism consumption trend has gone viral abroad, and now it gradually rises in China.
