Chongqing-Taking, the opportunity of "Macao Week in Chongqing," the Macao Government Tourism Office and Macao's tourism industry, hosted the Macao Tourism Promotion Conference in Chongqing on December 2, in a bid to introduce Macao's advantages in tourism, facilitate business exchanges, and negotiations between relevant practitioners from the two places, and promote Macao's image of "Safe & Tourism-friendly • Charming Macao."
Wen Qihua, Director of Macao Government Tourism Office, said in her speech that this promotion conference is expected to make Chongqing's tourism practitioners know more about the rich connotation of Macao's "Tourism plus," enable practitioners from the two places to deepen cooperation and roll out more new tourism products and services and enhance the exchanges of tourists between Chongqing and Macao. It is believed that based on Macao's future development, the two places will have more opportunities for cooperation in tourism and other areas.
At the promotion conference, representatives of the Macao Government Tourism Office briefed Chongqing's tourism authorities, relevant practitioners, and media on the latest status quo of Macao's tourism industry, as well as recent events and emerging tourism products, including Macao Grand Prix Museum, high-quality tours, "Macao Full of Fun" intelligent trip planning, and tourism incentive plans, so that Chongqing's tourism practitioners could deepen their understanding of the diversified elements of Macao's "Tourism plus." The promotion conference also includes business matchmaking and negotiation sections that promote exchanges and cooperation between tourism practitioners in Chongqing and Macao.
This year, the Macao Government Tourism Office has held tourism promotion conferences during Macao Weeks in Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. At the same time, tourism promotion activities have been carried out in many cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is hoped that through organizing promotion meetings, business matchmaking, and fairs, Macao will strengthen tourism exchanges and cooperation with provinces and municipalities in the Chinese mainland and jointly expand the source of tourists.
