Innovation Helps Fuling Mustard Go Global

Chongqing- The launch of the 4th China Chongqing Fuling Mustard Industry International Expo and 2021 World Mustard Innovation Conference Opening Ceremony were held in Fuling District, Chongqing on December 17.

At the opening ceremony, seven innovative scientific and technological research projects were unveiled. They signed a contract with Fuling Mustard Company, to break through the bottlenecks that restrict the development of the mustard industry.

Meanwhile, the annual international order meeting of Fuling Mustard signed an amount of more than 100 million yuan. China Condiment Industrial Association awarded Fuling District as the top ten industrial bases of national spices.

In order to protect and inherit the mustard culture, Fuling took the former residence of the founder to create the Fuling Mustard Historical Memory Museum. According to a related official, the museum will cover an area of 14,700 square meters and will be completed in 2022. The main parts will contain an indoor exhibition, an outdoor experience area, digital modeling, and environment creation.

From Wang Zhijie, party secretary of Fuling District Committee, this year Fuling Mustard Industry Expo first added “international” as an exposition name to highlight internationalization as a future trend. This conference aims to build an innovative exchange and cooperation platform for the mustard industry with global influence. “We hope that we can showcase the achievements of Fuling mustard and promote it to the whole country and the world,” Wang said.

The 2021 World Mustard Industry Innovation Conference, which was held in the afternoon, stands out the innovation as the first driving force. “The innovation here is not only of technology but also of the public perception. By industry acquisitions and local research, we will build an international view to manage the international company, and this is the direction of our future efforts,” addressed Bai Yan, executive vice president and secretary-general of China Condiment Industrial Association.
