Chongqing's Tongliang Dragon Dance to Greet 2019 in New York

New York Times Square's New Year celebration has been held for 111 times, and attracts over one million people every year. In terms of the 2019 celebration, the famous Dragon Dance of Chongqing’s Tongliang District will show up again.

On this Saturday, December 29, the delegation of Chongqing departed for this trip to the US. In addition to the Dragon Dance performance, the major task is to promote the culture and tourism of Chongqing.

The countdown ceremony at the Times Square will integrate the images of Chongqing. At the same time, the delegation will greet and send the new year wishes to the tourists all over the world. Also, the officials of the Consulate General of China in New York will address speeches at the scene. Meanwhile, the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Promotion Center in New York will be unveiled.

Of course, as a name card of Chongqing, the Tongliang Dragon Dance will perform during the celebration, in order to attract more tourists to visit the amazing city.

According to the presentation, the media meeting will be held on the afternoon of December 31 (EST) at the Westin New York. Chongqing will take this occasion to promote the tourist attractions, including the Three Gorges, the Dazu Rock Carvings, among others. Also, the delegation will invite the media to the 2019 Smart China Expo and the Western China Tourism Industry Expo.
