Liu Jian launched the exhibition under the theme of “Journals of 2017”. The 22 photos record what the daily life looked like in 2017. Liu says: “I want to have people in the exhibition. The photos are about people’s lives, so I would like to invite them to be part of the exhibition.”

The exhibition only lasted for one afternoon, far shorter than normal ones that stay in art galleries for one month at most. Liu intends to impress people with the special exhibition form and works, encouraging them to find beauty hidden in daily life.

Mr. Zhou is an amateur photographer who lives in Yubei District. He takes a day off to watch the exhibition and exchanges opinions with Liu on how to take photos. “It’s the first time that I have seen such an approachable exhibition.”

“This is one way to show that art is about life and common people.” Yang Kuang is President of Chongqing Photographers Association. He says it is worth promoting such innovative form and idea as photographers bring works to ordinary people. He believed that only the art that is widely accepted by the public is valuable.
