A family art exhibition opened today in Ciqikou town of Chongqing. “We are an ordinary family in Chongqing, and we'd like to share our love of nature byways of painting and making pottery.” Dr.Pu Yongjian, a professor in Chongqing University, spoke to iChongqing on the opening ceremony of Puyongjian Family Art Exhibition in Hemei Yard, Ciqikou town of Chongqing, in the morning of 28^th October 2018.

There are 50 artworks of Dr. Pu’s family on exhibition, all from the three family members of Professor Pu, a famous cross-border professor, an economist, mathematician, science fiction novelist, and a senior advisor of tourism of the municipal government.  Mrs. He Meilian, Dr.Pu’s wife, a professional artist, contributes some oil paintings and handmade silk round fans with her traditional Chinese paintings on. There are some exhibits on the five-year-old son of Dr. Pu, color paintings and vivid children handicrafts.

“We usually go out on weekends and travel around the city on holidays, while we’d paint to show our passion of the city, for Chongqing is such a magical city. Here are some 50 works of our family in recent 3 years. It's a pity, that  some of our best works are collected by friends, so we can’t present them here.” Dr. Pu told iChongqing.

The exhibition is open to the public in the following month. "It’s the first of series cultural activities of Shapingba district in celebrating the 40 anniversary of China's reform and opening," Mr. Li Bo, head of the Committee on Culture and Tourism of Shapingba District announced on the opening ceremony.
