The Second Night Fair Culture Festival

Sep.28 witnessed the opening up of the Second Night Fair Culture Festival in Shaci Lane of Shapingba District. A series of wonderful folk performances have been put on show and will last until the end of the holiday.

“Chuanjiang Haozi”, which is the work songs of boat trackers in Chongqing or Sichuan,sounds strong and vigorous.By hearing it, you could restore in mind the vivid working scene of boat trackers by the Yangtze River.

Folk Song Performance in Scenic Areas

Mudong Folk Song which could date back to ancient times is a traditional form of song in Ba’nan District. It sang by local people while farming and harvesting. Mudong Folk Song has gained great popularity both home and abroad due to its lively and charming features. During traditional festivals and holidays, you could get a chance to appreciate it in Mudong of Ba'nan District.

Lishi Folk Song is sang in dialect of Jiangjin District. Lishi Folk Song can be tracked back to the end of Ming Dynasty.
