Atout France (French Tourism Development Agency) and the Consulate General of France in Chengdu organized a French tourism promotion event at French Navy Barracks on Nanbin Rd, Chongqing on June 5, 2019. According to Bruno Bisson, the Consul General of France in Chengdu, France is not only a country of romance and fashion but also an excellent choice for family fun. This tourism event focuses on family travel for Chongqing`s people, Atout France and Consulate General of France in Chengdu hope for more and better cooperation with growing cities like Chongqing.

Before the speakers` sharing seminar, in the opening ceremony of the event, Bruno Bisson, Boris Viallet, the officer from Atout France, and Zheng Lidong, general manager of Tongsheng Travel Agency, cut the ribbon and released the balloon in colors of the flag of France. The French Navy Barracks was filled with joy. In the welcome speech, Mr. Bisson pointed out that education is every Chinese family`s important sector, going for a trip aboard could help children learn about culture and language. That is the reason why they promote family vacation routes, and he hopes more Chinese families go to France.

Boris Viallet introduced attractions and shopping information in France. He mentioned that 2.2 million Chinese travelers visited France in 2018, and there are more than 100 flights from China to France every week in 2019. According to his speech, there are 2,000 parks in France. He recommended the parks, zoos, and safaris with the "family plus" tag. The Louvre is a must-see museum for a trip to Paris, and the Louvre has easy access, and free child passes to serve family travelers better. Boris indicated that when President Xi visited France, he met with the director of the amusement park Asterix, and there will be more opportunities and exposures for French tourism in China. "We will have more cultural exchanges between Chongqing and France, and looking forward to the cooperation in the future," Mr. Viallet said.

Travelers could also find arts in the city by visiting museums. Mr. Viallet introduced the Le Museum Em Vierbe, an art museum that is exceptionally friendly to children. Besides, he emphasized that France is a fashion city with department stores and luxury boutiques. The summer promotion will start from June 26 until the end of August. Fashion lovers will be excited about the shopping sector during their stay in France.

There is a presentation of French wines from Bordeaux, dessert in the French style, showcases of Hainan Airline, Viking Cruise, and Decathlon. Mr. Yu, the representative from Hainan Airline, told us that Hainan Airline started the direct flight between Chongqing and Paris Dec. 19, 2018. During the half-year operating this flight, they've transported about 10,000 passengers.
