Chongqing - As a mountain city, Chongqing holds abundant natural landscapes and fascinating folk cultures in its various districts and counties. The 6th Western China Tourism Expo (WTE2019) offers an excellent opportunity to discover the beautiful tourist spots of Chongqing’s districts and counties.
The pink peach flowers light up the pavilion of Youyang Miao and Tujia Autonomous County. Due to Youyang's natural beauty and peacefulness, the scenic spot is reputed to be the inspiration for the famous Chinese novel Peach Blossom Spring. The pavilion showcases Youyang's famous tourist spots such as Fuxi cave, Youzhou ancient town, Taohuayuan National Forest Park, and Eryou Mountain. Here visitors could also appreciate the exquisite artworks of Miao Xiu (The embroidery of Miao ethnic group).
The incredible Miao ethnic group dancing was center stage at the pavilion of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County. The dancers’ traditional costume, accessories, and movement caught many visitors attention. The pavilion reflected Pengshui’s folk culture through the local specialties, handcrafts, and performances, and the Chiyou Jiuli Scenic Area, Mowei Mountain Scenic Area and A Yi River Scenic Spot in Pengshui County was on display as visitors received detailed tourism information.
In the pavilion of Fengjie County, many things were going on, including folk performances such as Kuizhou cheongsam (qipao) show, lion dance, and Kuimen boat trackers song. As the starting point of the Three Gorges, Fengjie holds a fantastic tourist resource. Visitors wearing 5G+VR equipment enjoyed a view of the Kuimen, Baidi City, and beautiful sceneries by the riversides of Kuimen. Popular local specialties included Fengjie orange, bacon, pickled mushrooms were also on offer.
Many visitors stopped by the Wulong District pavilion to admire the gorgeous landscapes the district holds. Wulong District boasts abundant World Natural Heritage tourism sites. The Three Natural Bridges is the largest natural bridges cluster so far and located in the National Geological Park. Tourists can have a birdseye view of the cluster from the 280-meter-high glass skywalk over the cliff. The Furong Cave in Wulong District is the only World Natural Heritage cave in China. The stalactite landscape in the cave is magnificent. Chinese National Geography calls it the most beautiful cave in China. The Fairy Mountain at 1900-meter high altitude is a famous sightseeing resort that boasts abundant forests, stunning peaks, and rich pastures.
