Huayan Temple is a Buddhism temple in Jiulongpo District. Huayan temple is popular with ancient-style architecture, traditional calligraphy and Buddhas. This temple is a good place to experience some Chinese culture.

The temple is in Ming and Qing dynasty style include corridors, intricately carved doors, up-turned roofs of glazed tiles, and plaques engraved with ancient classics.

The grounds offer a quiet spot to walk or boat on the lake. Dragon boat festival is held here annually attracting many visitors. The vegetarian restaurant is also worth trying.
