The mysterious Simian Mountain is an irreplaceable tourism resource in the Jiangjin District. Its advantaged virgin forest and rich and diverse biological resources make the scenic spot even more appealing.

Wangxiangtai Waterfall is the highlight of Simian Mountain.

Wangxiangtai Waterfall, at158 meters high and 48 meters wide, is the most featured scenic spot of Simian Mountain and the most spectacular waterfall there. It is more than twice as high as the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall, making it China’s Highest Waterfall.

It's unique heart-shape also make it a marvelous spectacle in this scenic spot. If you drive on the highway opposite the waterfall, and you can't miss the enormous heart.

How beautiful is the waterfall?

The waterfall rushes down the red heart-shaped cliff hidden in the dense forest.

The waterfall will look indistinct but fascinating because of the fog and immense size. If you get closer, you will hear the earsplitting roar of the water, which seems to be made by the pulse of the earth.

A rainbow above the valleys

On a clear day, an incredible rainbow will appear above the ravines like a luminous bridge.

The best time to see a rainbow is 9:00-11:00 on the morning of a sunny day while the best place lies on the observation platform at the bottom of the waterfall.

On the hillside to the next scenic spot, an unequaled picture formed by the waterfall and the whole mountain range is visible.

In spring, Simian Mountain will be adorned with a sea of rhododendrons on the west bank of the waterfall, which will look more breathtaking against the lovely flowers.

The sight of the waterfall at night

Different from other waterfalls, Wangxiangtai Waterfall could be seen at night.

The waterfall is decorated with beautiful lights and became the first night tourist spot of Simian Mountain in 2010. It is also the first case in the world and China’s only one large waterfall that can be enjoyed at night.

At 8 p.m. during holidays, this spot is open to tourists. Lights of all colors are projected onto the waterfall and the precipice behind it, allowing the waterfall to change from one color to another.

Bus: Take the shuttle bus at the passenger station in the urban area of Jiangjin District.
