Beijing Institute of Technology Chongqing Innovation Center is a cutting-edge research and development (R&D) organization jointly established by the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. It is also a comprehensive research organization set up by BIT outside the campus. Founded on May 31, 2019, BIT Chongqing Innovation Center focuses on five fields: modern weapons, advanced vehicles, new-generation electronic information, intelligence, big data, and new materials.
北京理工大学重庆创新中心是由北京理工大学和重庆两江新区合作共建的新型研发机构，也是北京理工大学的综合性外派研究机构。重庆中心2019年5月31日注册成立，主要面向现代兵器、先进车辆、新一代电子信息、智能化和大数据、新材料五大领域。
Covering five fields of technologies, BIT Chongqing Innovation Center has set up 22 innovative R&D platforms involving big data and intelligent manufacturing of uncrewed vehicles, millimeter-wave radar and intelligent perception, green secondary cells, and advanced energy storage, and ground-based astronomical radar and microwave photonics.
重庆中心围绕五大技术领域，组建了无人车大数据与智能制造、毫米波雷达与智能感知、绿色二次电池与先进储能、地基天文雷达与微波光子等22个创新研发平台。
BIT Chongqing Innovation Center has grouped more than 30 sci-tech leaders, represented by academicians and young professionals in four categories, more than 300 full-time R&D personnel and more than 400 postgraduate students. It endeavors to, by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it endeavors to build a scientific research team composed of more than 1,000 members, set up a training base for more than 2,000 postgraduate students, and finally become a domestically first-class model of research organizations based on school-city cooperation.
截至目前，重庆中心已引进30余名院士、四青以上人才为代表的科技领军人才，300余名专职研发人员，400余名研究生，力争在“十四五”末期建成1000人以上的科研队伍，2000人以上规模的研究生培养基地，最终建成国内一流的校地合作研究机构典范。
