Chongqing-According to Chongqing Traffic Bureau, China Railway Express (Chongqing) to Europe altogether made over 3,000 trips over the past two years.
China Railway Express (Chongqing) to Europe
2019 marks the second anniversary of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Through continuous innovation and exploration, China-Europe freight trains from Chongqing have become an important engine for the development of Chongqing Pilot FTZ.
On November 26, 2018, a postal parcel from Germany experienced more than 10,000 kilometers of long-distance travel. Finally, it arrived at the railway port center of International Mail Exchange Bureau (Chongqing) in Chongqing Logistics City of Shapingba District. That marked the successful completion of the first large-scale mail import delivery test for the train of the China Railway Express (Chongqing).
The successful test of return-trip post-delivery reached a new breakthrough in importing post of China Railway Express nationwide. The use of China-Europe freight trains to transport international post serves as a key driver for the construction of China’s post industry under the Belt and Road Initiative as well as a worldwide innovation in the international mail transport model.
The China Railway Express (Chongqing) links the New International Land-Sea Corridor.
Chongqing-Vietnam freight train started operation in March 2018. The freight train is a southward extension of China Railway Express to Europe from Chongqing. The Chongqing-Vietnam freight train will take goods from Chongqing to ASEAN countries like Singapore via Guangxi Beibu Gulf. It saves about 10 days compared with the traditional route via the eastern region.
China Railway Express (Chongqing) to Europe successfully started from Chongqing Guoyuan Port.
Chongqing-Ningbo (Yuyong for short) trains started departing on January 23, 2018. Depending on China Railway Express (Chongqing) and Yuyong trains, Chongqing will establish a logistics cluster for Chongqing and Ningbo. Based on that, it aims to develop a larger place in international logistics channels.
The eastbound China Railway Express to Europe from Germany Mannheim Harbor arrived at the Chongqing Guoyuan Port in Liangjiang New Area, November 18, 2018. Furthermore, the economic and trade cooperation has been enhanced between the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, represented by Liangjiang New Area and the Upper Rhine being represented by Mannheim.
